One more example of the amazing acts of kindness humans are capable of.

One day while driving the route first introduced in this blog: http://fugmulch.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=10989

I approached the second town center, the busier of the two. The traffic was backed up worse than usual. It was standstill for about a mile before the center, and about ½ mile before it usually gets crazy. Things were moving very slow, very slow. It took me at least 15-20 minutes to move into the town center, to finally see what the delay was.

In the center of one intersection where large numbers of people enter onto the road (left onto, cutting into traffic) there was a car at a dead stop in the middle of the intersection. Every single car drove around him. Every single one for at least 20 minutes drove right around him. This had to be at least 100 cars, if not more. The car was an older Ford station wagon. An older man drove it, late 60s I would assume. I stopped to push him out of the center of the road. At the same time, someone driving an 18-wheeler tank truck going the opposite way also stopped to help. The driver of the truck had a cell phone, so he stayed to help him out. Not a single other person stopped. In fact, people laid into their horns while driving by because I left my car in the middle of the road. Not one single person would take 2 minutes out of their lives to stop and help this man. Great fucking world we live in.

Glad to hear a fellow trucker pitched in to help.
People ar just in too much of a hurry to help out their fellow man. Just another sign of the times in which we live.
