Enter Firefox, release 0.8, Mozilla's newest browser release. Apparently Firebird was already in use by another OpenSource project, hence the new name.
Been banging on it for a little while now, has been stable and has not crashed, yet... I don't see many visible differences between this release and the last Firebird, but perhaps they will become apparent later. It does have a slightly smaller memory footprint, but when running with 1Gig this does not matter, but it may for other systems.
Still does the things I like; pop-up blocking and tabbed browser windows.
Not too much new, a revised download manager, integrated google search, slightly different extension manager. But the type to follow a link browse is neat.
7 meg to download, free as usual, give it a spin...
I recommend the preferential, quicknote and calendar plugins.
